When watching capoeira for the first time most think, “oh I could never do that” but the great news is that we all start as beginners! Anyone of any age, gender, or body type can be successful in Capoeira. Once you know the basics you can mold the game to your own abilities and do things you never thought possible. Improved physical abilities reduced stress, friendships are just a few benefits that come along with beginning Capoeira. On top of that motivation and determination appear quickly and those attributes stick around and multiply as the years proceed.
Although the focus of Capoeira is not on team competition, there is a huge team aspect. Participants work together and encourage one another while learning new skills and test each other during the game. And of course there is the chit chat before and after class!
